Community Terms

The agreement behind hosting a community on Vessero: what we sell for you, our fee, included credits, refunds, and looking after your members. This is the version in force while our lawyers finish the full text.

01The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Forgutti Unipessoal Lda (NIF 519031075), which operates Vessero. They cover hosting a community on Vessero: your courses, your membership, and your members' community.

You accept them when you tick the box on your community application, which records the date and the version. A community is also a shop, so the Seller Terms apply to it too: what may be sold, payouts, review, reports and strikes. Where the two differ, these terms apply to your community.

02Applying and approval

Our team reads every application and decides which communities to open. We may decline one without giving a reason. Your community opens once we approve it and you publish it.

03Prices and our fee

You set your courses' prices, bundles and a monthly membership price, in US dollars including tax. We sell them in our own name and charge any VAT or sales tax. On each course, bundle and membership payment our fee falls with your plan: 10% on Starter, 8% on Plus, 6% on Pro and 5% on Ultra and Business, each + $0.50, worked out on the price after tax. Card, tax and invoice costs come out of our fee.

Our fee is never less than what a payment costs us at Stripe: the card's processing price for where it was issued, the conversion to euros, and Stripe's tax and billing charges. When a payment costs more than the fee for your plan (a card from outside Europe can), our fee for that payment is that cost instead.

Discount codes you make lower the price the member pays, and the fee is worked out on what they paid. A change to the membership price applies to new members only.

04Credits you include

You may include Vessero credits with a course, a bundle or each month of a membership; a yearly payment brings 12 months' worth at once. Their cost, at our credit price, comes out of your share of that payment, and a price is refused when your share would not cover them. A member's included credits are spent before their own and expire 90 days after they get them; a membership's expire 30 days after the period they came with. If a payment is refunded, the credits not yet used are taken back and you pay only for those kept.

05Memberships

A membership renews monthly until the member cancels; it then ends at the end of the month they paid for. If a renewal fails, the member keeps access for 7 days while the payment is tried again. Each payment is a sale: it is held and paid out like any other.

06Refunds

Courses, bundles and membership payments are not refundable for members, except where the law where they live says otherwise, or when they were charged twice. A member stops a membership by cancelling it, which ends it after the period they paid for. Only we refund. A refunded course or bundle ends that member's access to it; a refunded membership payment also ends the membership. Refunds and chargebacks take your share back as the Seller Terms describe.

07Inviting members

You may give free access by link, by code or by email. Send invitation emails only to people who have asked to hear from you, at most 500 a day. You may take back access you gave for free; access someone paid for ends only with a refund.

08Your lessons

Your lessons stay yours. You give us a non-exclusive licence to host, encode, stream and sell them while they are in your community, and to keep them for members who already have access when you remove them. You must hold the rights to everything in them: music, footage, pictures and other people who appear.

A new course is reviewed before it goes on sale. While your community is in good standing, changes to lessons go live after the automatic checks, and our team may look at them afterwards. Your community has 100 GB of storage, which we may raise.

We make lessons hard to download, but no protection is perfect: we do not promise that a member cannot record what they watch.

09Your community

You look after your community first: its questions, posts, handed-in work and events. Remove what breaks our content rules, and tell us about anything illegal or harmful to a child at once. Live sessions must use the meeting services the editor allows. We may step in, hide content and restrict members whatever you decide.

10Pausing and closing

You may pause or close your community. Members keep the courses they bought; memberships stop renewing and end with the month already paid. If we suspend your community, memberships stop collecting payments while it is suspended and your payouts are held.

11General

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and any dispute goes to the courts of Portugal. Questions go to support@team.vessero.com. Version 2026-10-25.
