Perplexity connects to Vessero as a custom connector, on the Pro, Max and Enterprise plans. On Enterprise, an admin first turns on Allow members to add custom connectors. In Connected apps, the same steps open one at a time, with the address to copy, and the last one tells you when Perplexity is in.

Connect Perplexity

  1. Open Connectors. In Perplexity, open Plugins in the sidebar, or Customize › Connectors if you don't see Plugins yet.
  2. Add an MCP connector. Open Add custom › Connector › Add MCP connector.
  3. In the pop-up, pick Remote.
  4. Enter the name Vessero and the MCP Server URL https://vessero.com/mcp.
  5. Set Authentication to OAuth, and leave Client ID and Client Secret empty.
  6. Set Transport to Streamable HTTP.
  7. Tick the acknowledgement, then click Add.
  8. Sign in to Vessero. Click the Vessero connector card to start signing in.
  9. Vessero's page opens. Sign in if it asks, then press Allow.
  10. Turn it on under Sources. On Perplexity's home page, turn Vessero on under Sources.
  11. Check it works. Ask: "Use Vessero to show my credit balance." It answers with your balance.

If it doesn't connect

  • The connector card shows an error tag. Perplexity couldn't check the server. Check the address reads exactly https://vessero.com/mcp, then set the connector up again.
