A connected app can work on your Creative Boards the way you do: it builds them, changes them and runs them, with the same cards, the same wiring rules and the same prices as the board itself. Ask in your own words, for example "Build me a board for my serum launch."
What it can do on a board
- Start a board: from a template, or from nothing, or a whole board in one go, with its cards already wired.
- Add cards: notes, pictures, clips, voiceovers, music, assistants, finish cards and groups, and your products, brand kits and cast members. Each card gets its words, its model and its settings, such as a picture's shape, a clip's length, a Seedance clip's Music switch, Seedance 2.5's Draft switch or a voiceover's voice. New cards go in a tidy row to the right of everything, or beside a card it names, never on top of your cards.
- Set a card up as its menus do: a clip card can carry on, edit, copy the moves of, lip-sync or upscale a finished clip wired into it, all of it or a part; a Kling 4.0 or Kling 4.0 Flash clip card can be set to Keyframes or Omni, as its Mode menu does; a picture card can upscale, cut out, expand, edit, relight or restyle the picture wired into it; a picture can take its model's style, seed and Polish my words; a Wan 3.0 clip card can take the link to a public web page to make the clip from; a note can be a list, each line run as a card of its own; a cast card can open on one of their own shots.
- Change cards: their words, model, settings and name, and where they sit. A card that's running can be renamed and moved; its words and settings can change once its run is done.
- Wire cards: words into a picture, a picture into a clip as its first frame, a voiceover into a clip, clips into a finish card. The board's own rules decide what can go where, as when you drag a wire. It can wire a picture card into a clip before the picture is made: Run all makes them in order. A clip on Vidu Q4 or Kling O3 (reference) needs a picture wired in before it can run, as on the board, and the app is told so.
- Carry a clip on into the next shot, as Next shot does on the board: the clip's last frame becomes a picture card, and a new clip in the same settings opens on it, so the action carries straight on across the cut. It can do this before the clip is made: the frame waits on the board and is taken, free, the moment the clip is, and Run all makes the shots in order. It can also put a clip's first frame on the board on its own.
- Take cards off and put them back: a card taken off can be put back, with the wires that still have a card at the other end. A card that's running can't be taken off.
- Set a finish card's captions and AI label as its Captions panel does, in the same words as for a UGC ad: No captions or a style, their size and place, and the label on or off.
- Mark a finished cut as the winner, the star that says it's the one to ship, or take the star off.
- Tidy up a board, as the Tidy up button on the board does: the loose cards laid out along their wires, groups left as they are, nothing on top of anything. Ask it to tidy up once it has added cards.
- Copy a card, rename a board, copy a whole board (as Duplicate does on your boards list), pick a board's cover, and bring in your work: a file you uploaded, a piece from your Library, a product, a brand kit or a cast member.
- Run a card, or the whole board with Run all. On a Seedance 2.5 clip card whose take is a draft, it can make that draft sharp at 1080p, quoted first, as the card's own button does. If an upgrade fails, its credits come back, and the app can try it again the same way.
It can only change boards you can edit. On a board someone shared with you to view, it can read the cards and wires, and change nothing.
Free changes, priced runs
Building and changing a board costs nothing: no card runs until it's run. Running a card or the whole board is priced first, as every run is, and the app is asked to get your yes to the price before it starts. Your connection's daily cap, if you set one, counts the whole run. See Credits, prices and daily caps with AI apps.
Run all charges each card as it starts, and a card that fails gives its credits back, so a run can cost less than its price. The app is told what the run has cost, while it goes and once it ends, as the line at the top of the board shows it.
Watching it work
Every change the app makes shows straight away to anyone who has the board open, you included, as a collaborator's changes do. Cards it runs show their stage on the board as they would if you'd pressed Run.
Things to ask
- "Build me a board: my product photo, three pictures of it in different rooms, and a clip from the best one. Show me the price before you run it."
- "On my launch board, make the clip 9:16 and eight seconds long, and rename the board Spring launch."
- "Add a voiceover reading this script and wire it into the clip."
- "Put my latest upload on the board and use it as the clip's first frame."
- "Make a second shot that carries on from the end of my clip: she walks to the window."
- "Take off the cards I didn't use, then run the board."
