Cast keeps the AI actors you use again and again. Cast one onto a board, a UGC ad or a picture slot, and they bring their look, their languages and their voice with them, so they're the same person from clip to clip.
The starter cast
Cast opens with a starter cast of presenters and AI influencers from around the world. Everyone in it is fictional, generated rather than photographed, and labelled as an AI actor. Each comes with a hero picture, a shot holding a product, a three-quarter shot and a character sheet, and a voice matched to them by accent, age and gender. Browsing and casting them is free.
Search by name, language or accent, or filter by where they're from, the languages they speak, how they present, their age and their vibe.
Create an actor
Press Create an actor. There are four steps: Look, Sheet, Voice and Identity. None of them is required, and you can do them in any order. The one that matters most is the character sheet.
Save draft, at the top of the steps, keeps what you have so far. A saved draft waits under Drafts on the Cast page. Press it to carry on where you left off. Once saved, your changes save themselves as you go.
-
Look. Write who they are, as much or as little as you like. Add details is a switch, off to start: turn it on for face and skin, hair, build, outfit, accessories, setting, light and camera, and a style such as Phone selfie (UGC), Studio portrait, 3D animated or Illustrated. Turned off again, what you wrote there is kept but not used. Improve the words, beside the prompt, writes a short description out in full (age, face, hair, build, outfit), keeping what you wrote; Undo puts your words back. To see takes, pick the model, shape and resolution, and up to four takes a press, then generate. Press Use as hero on the take you want. Your own pictures work too:
- Pictures, in the bar, takes up to three for every take to be made from. Drop, paste or choose a file, or pick from your Uploads or what you made. With a picture, words are optional.
- Your own picture, beside the takes, uses one picture as their look as it is, for free: a photo, a drawing, or a character you made. Press Choose a picture, then Use as their look. Use as look under a picture in the bar does the same.
- A picture you made on Images can be their look too, under From your images.
A picture you brought in asks who is in it: A real person (you name them and confirm their permission, and the actor is an AI likeness of them) or No real person is in it (a drawing, a character, something made with AI). Pictures you made here aren't asked about. See Real people: faces, voices and consent. Actors are adults only: a description of anyone under 18 is refused.
-
Sheet. Pages of pictures a clip is handed to keep them the same. The first page is always the character sheet: portrait, front and back. You can make it before choosing a look: it's made from the words in the Look step, and its portrait becomes their look. Add a page for more, such as a turnaround, expressions, poses, details, a second outfit or the product in hand, up to six pages. These are made from their look, so they wait for the character sheet or a chosen take. Make page makes each one, and a made page is cut into single pictures for clips to use.
-
Voice, if you want one. Pick one of the voices ranked for them, Describe a voice and design three to choose from, or Upload a recording to clone a voice, with the speaker's permission. Cloning isn't always available; when it isn't, the Upload tab says so. Then set the delivery and press Make sample: the sample is what video models hear as their voice. Without a voice, each clip makes up its own.
-
Identity. Their name, a description drafted from the hero picture, how their voice sounds in words, the languages they speak (the first is the one they lead with), their accent, age and vibe. Every field is optional, the name too. Press Done to open their page, or Finish later on a draft that has no look yet.
A draft can be cast onto a board, a UGC ad or a picture slot once it has a look: a chosen take, or a made character sheet.
What it costs
Generating looks, making pages, designing voices, making voice samples and Improve the words cost credits, and each shows its price on its button (Improve the words shows the most it can cost, and charges what it used). Saving a draft, choosing a hero, using a picture as it is, drafting their identity, picking a voice from the list, cloning a voice and casting them onto a card are free. A run that fails is refunded.
See them big and download them
On an actor's page, press any picture of theirs (the hero, a page of their sheet, a single view) to see it as big as your screen allows. Step through the rest with the arrows, your arrow keys or the strip below. Scroll or double-click to zoom in. Download saves the picture you're looking at, the starter cast's too.
On a board, double-click a cast card, or press the expand button in its corner, to do the same from the picture the card shows. Double-click a picture in the card's strip to open that one.
Use them again
- On a board: insert a Cast card and choose from the cast. Drag their Words into a prompt, their Look into a picture or a clip, and their Voice into a clip or a voiceover. See What a Creative Board is.
- On UGC Ads: under Presenters, pick them from Cast. Their look sheet goes into the ad, and their voice when you pick it under Voices, on a model that takes it.
- On Images and Video: in a picture slot, open Saved, then Characters, to bring in their hero picture.
Labels
Every actor is labelled AI actor, on their tiles, their page and their card, and an actor made from a real person's photo is labelled AI likeness. When an actor feeds a board's Finish card, the finished cut is labelled AI-generated unless you switch the label off in the card's Captions panel. On UGC Ads, the label is a switch too: see Captions and the AI label.
Change or remove an actor
Your own actors are yours alone, even in a team workspace; the starter cast can't be edited. On an actor's page, Edit opens the steps again. A new look replaces their pages and identity, which are made again from it when you ask for them. Boards that already cast them pick up the new name, languages and voice, and keep the picture their card had.
To remove one, press Remove, then press again. They leave your cast and your pickers; cards already on your boards, and anything made with them, stay until you delete them.
