Claude can use Vessero on claude.ai and in the Claude desktop app, on every plan. Free allows one custom connector. In Connected apps, the same steps open one at a time, with the address to copy, and the last one tells you when Claude is in.
Connect Claude
- Open Connectors in Claude. In claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, go to Customize › Connectors.
- Add a custom connector. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Under Name, enter
Vessero. - Under Remote MCP server URL, enter
https://vessero.com/mcp, exactly as it is here, then click Continue. - Sign in to Vessero. Claude shows the settings it found: click Continue.
- Under Authentication, choose Sign in now, and keep Use Claude's published identity.
- Click Add.
- Vessero's page opens. Sign in if it asks, then press Allow.
- Turn it on in a chat. Start a chat, then click + in the lower left, or type /.
- Hover over Connectors and switch Vessero on.
- Check it works. Ask Claude: "Use Vessero to show my credit balance."
- Claude asks before it uses a tool: approve it, and it answers with your balance.
Some accounts show + Add › Custom › Web instead of Add custom connector. If the dialog is one screen with Advanced settings, fill in the same two, leave the rest empty and click Add.
If Vessero's page doesn't open after step 7, click Connect on the Vessero connector.
Claude keeps connectors on or off for each chat, so switch Vessero on in the chats you want it in. The Claude apps on your phone have it too, the next time you sign in there.
On Team or Enterprise
An Owner adds Vessero once, for everyone in the organization:
- Go to Organization settings › Connectors and click Add.
- Hover over Custom, then select Web.
- Enter the name
Vesseroand the URLhttps://vessero.com/mcp, then click Continue. - Click Continue again, choose Sign in now, keep Use Claude's published identity, and click Add.
Then each member connects their own Vessero account. In Customize › Connectors, find Vessero, click Connect and press Allow on Vessero's page, then carry on from step 9.
If it doesn't connect
- "Couldn't reach the MCP server" or "Authorization with the MCP server failed". It's usually the address:
www.in front, a slash at the end, or a typo. Remove the connector in Customize › Connectors and add it again with exactlyhttps://vessero.com/mcp. - Vessero's tools are missing in a chat. The connector is off in that chat. Click +, then Connectors, and switch Vessero on.
To end the connection, see Disconnect an app or revoke a key.
