A short link turns a long address into one like vessero.com/go/k7m2xq that's easy to paste in a bio, a caption or a message. Every time someone opens it, it sends them on and counts the click.
Make one
- Open Portfolio and go to Short links.
- Paste the address to send people to under Goes to (or press Paste). The line under it says what it is, like "A YouTube video". Give it a title for your own list if you like.
- Press Create. Then Copy it, or press QR for a code to scan or save.
The ending is random. On the Plus, Pro and Ultra plans you can choose it, like vessero.com/go/summer-drop, as long as nobody has it already: the box says Free once it's yours to take, and suggests an ending that works when one doesn't (no spaces, for one).
What it counts
Each link shows its clicks, and its stats show them by day, by country and by where people came from: Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Google, WhatsApp, email, direct and others. Tag a link with ?utm_source=instagram at the end of the short address and its clicks count as Instagram's even when the app sends no referrer. Bots and link previews aren't counted, and nothing about the person is kept but the count.
Send each visitor their own way
On Plus, Pro and Ultra, a short link can send some people elsewhere. Press Edit in its menu and add rules under Goes to, under Send some people elsewhere: a device (iPhone and iPad, Android, any phone or tablet, or a computer) or one or more countries, and where those visitors go. Everyone else goes to the link's own address, and the first rule that fits wins. One link in your bio can then open your app in the App Store on an iPhone and in Google Play on Android. Rules you added keep their place if you move down, and work again when you move back up.
When a link stops working
A short link whose address no longer opens shows Fix in the list, with why: Not found (404) or No such site. We check each one when you make or change it and again every day, and only a clear answer shows Fix.
Change or turn off
Press Edit in a link's menu to change it right in the list. Change where it sends people at any time: everyone who opens it after that goes to the new address. Change its ending and the old one stops working. Turn off stops it sending anyone, and turning it back on starts again. Delete a link to take it away for good.
How many
On Starter, or without a plan, 20 short links can be on at once: turn one off to make room. On Plus, Pro and Ultra there's no limit. Links you made on one of those keep working if you move down, but you can't turn more than 20 on.
We turn off links that lead to scams, malware or anything against our Terms. A link we turned off says so, and only support can turn it back on.
