Sell in the Creator Store

Open a shop from My products, add a product, and send it for review. You set the price in US dollars, tax included, from $1.99 to $500, or free. Vessero sells it for you and keeps 10% + $0.50 of each paid sale after VAT; your share is paid monthly after a 30-day hold.

The Creator Store is where people sell what they make with Vessero to each other. Vessero sells each product in its own name: the buyer pays us, we charge any VAT and send their receipt, and you're paid your share.

Open your shop

  1. Go to My products, under Creator Store in the sidebar.
  2. Give your shop a name. It uses your portfolio's @handle, one handle for both. On a plan, if you don't have one yet, you pick it here. Without a plan, your shop has the address your page was given, since choosing your own comes with every plan.
  3. Tick that you accept the Seller Terms and only sell your own work, and press Open your shop.

Change the shop's name, its about line and up to 5 links in Your shop in Settings. Its handle is changed in your portfolio, on a plan.

To sell from your bio, add a Products or Courses block to your page: what's on sale shows there with its picture and price, newest first or the ones you pick.

What you can sell

  • Prompts: words for Images, Video, Music or Voice, 1 to 50 of them. Each picture or video prompt shows at least one example you made on Vessero. Buyers get the words and the shape; the model is theirs to pick.
  • AI character: a synthetic character from your Cast, with its looks and a library voice.
  • Image pack: 3 to 50 pictures you made, each up to 8 MB, for buyers to use as references.
  • Board template: one of your Creative Boards, ready for a buyer to run.
  • Course: lessons with video, text and files to download, in sections, with free previews. Sold on its own here, or inside your own community: see Join or start a community.
  • Downloads: PDFs, pictures, sound, video, text, zips, fonts, 3D models and the files editing and design apps open, up to 30 files of up to 2 GB each, and up to 5 private links.
  • Presets & plugins: LUTs, presets, templates, transitions, titles and brushes for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, Lightroom and other apps. You pick the apps it works in (at least one), and can add the versions it needs and how to install it; buyers read these before they buy. The files go up as for Downloads.
  • Link: something you sell on your own site, free or paid, listed here and bought there or here.

A kind that isn't open yet shows as Opens soon.

What files can't hold

Every zip is opened and checked when it finishes uploading, along with the zips inside it and app files built on one, such as .drfx and .mogrt. A zip is refused when anything inside is a program, an installer, a script or a plugin that loads code (an .exe, .dmg, .pkg, .zxp, .jsx or .ofx, for example), another kind of archive such as .rar or .7z, a web page, or locked with a password. The product shows why beside the file; take it out to send the product. Programs and web pages can't be sold on their own either. PDFs are cleaned before they go on sale.

Add a product

  1. In My products, press Add product and choose what you're selling.
  2. Work through the steps: the basics (a title, a summary of one or two sentences, an optional description and up to 8 tags), what's inside, a cover and at least 3 previews from your examples, and the price.
  3. Tick that you made it, that it shows or names no real person or brand that isn't yours, and that it follows the Seller Terms.
  4. Press Send for review.

Our checks read the words and look at every example, then someone on our team reviews it, usually within a day. We approve it, ask for changes, or refuse it, and say why, naming the part of the Seller Terms it rests on. You can appeal each decision once, from the product in My products, and someone else on our team decides.

Once it's approved, it's on sale on its own page, at vessero.com/store/ and the product's name, such as vessero.com/store/lighting-presets-a1b2c3d4: a link you can share anywhere.

A free product in Downloads or Presets & plugins can be had with just an email, so people get it without making an account. In My products, each one shows how many people got it and how many of them downloaded it.

Editing a product that's on sale makes a new version for review, and the one on sale keeps selling meanwhile. A price change takes effect at once, with no review, except while a sale is set: see Sales and discount codes.

Price and fee

You set the price in US dollars, tax included, from $1.99 to $500, or free. Buyers in the EU pay their VAT out of it.

On each paid sale, Vessero's fee is 10% + $0.50 of the price after VAT. Card, tax and invoice costs come out of our fee, not your share, and free products pay nothing. The price step shows what you'd earn per sale, from a buyer who pays the highest EU VAT to one who pays none. On a $10 product, for example, you get $8.50 from a buyer who pays no VAT, and $7.00 when 20% VAT is inside the price.

Sales and discount codes

A sale lowers a product's price for a while. In My products, open the product's menu and choose Put on sale:

  1. Type the sale price, from $1.99. The dialog shows how much it takes off and what you'd earn.
  2. Start it now, or pick a day within the next 90.
  3. Pick the day it ends. A sale runs for up to 31 days and ends by itself at the end of that day.

While it's on, buyers see the sale price, your usual price struck through, and the day it ends, on the product's page, its card in the store and in your community's Classroom. The struck price is the lowest price of the 30 days before the sale started, as EU law asks, so a sale has to be under it. A price you raised in the last 30 days, or an earlier sale in that time, counts. Your price is locked while a sale is set. Choose Change the sale to change its price or end day, or End the sale to stop it now.

Discount codes are under the list of products in My products, and on your community's Prices tab if you host one: it's the same list. Press New code and choose:

  • What it takes off: a percentage, or an amount in dollars.
  • What it's for: everything you sell, or the products you pick. If you host a community, also your store products, your courses or your levels.
  • How many times it can be used, and the day it ends, if you like.

Buyers type the code on the product's page, under Have a code?, once each. A code that takes everything off gives the product away with no checkout. You can pause a code and turn it on again. If a buyer has a code and the product is on sale, they pay whichever price is lower, never both, and a code they didn't need isn't used up. Our fee is worked out on what the buyer paid.

When you're paid

Each sale's share is held for 30 days, for refunds and chargebacks. Then it's paid in the monthly payout, in the first week of the month, once you're owed $50 or more; less carries over. Say how you want to be paid in Getting paid: see Getting paid.

You hear about every sale with a notification, and by email for the first 20 in a day, with what you get and when it's free to pay. Earnings shows what's available, on hold and paid out, each month's total and your latest sales, and you can download every sale as a CSV.

Refunds and chargebacks

Sales aren't refundable for the buyer, except where the law where they live says otherwise, or when what they bought won't download or open, or they were charged twice. Only Vessero refunds. A refund before your share is paid takes it back from the sale; after it's paid, it comes off what you're owed next, and your balance can go below zero until later sales cover it. A partial refund keeps your share in proportion, and the $0.50 stays. A dispute we win puts your share back.

The rules

  • Sell only your own work, made by you: no one else's prompts, pictures, characters, boards or files, and nothing you bought in the store.
  • Characters are synthetic: no real person's face, body or voice, and no cloned voice.
  • No nudity or sexual content. Nothing that shows, or could be read as, someone under 18 in a sexual or suggestive way.
  • Examples of what a prompt or a board makes must be made on Vessero.
  • Every sale happens on Vessero: no payment links, and no asking buyers to pay elsewhere.

A removal for a serious breach is a strike. 3 strikes within 180 days suspend your selling for 30 days, and a second suspension is permanent. While you're suspended, buyers keep what they bought and your payouts are held. A report about a minor, or reports from three people who bought a product, take it off sale until we've looked.

Pause, remove or close

In My products, a product's menu has Pause, which takes it off sale until you press Put back on sale, and Remove. To stop selling altogether, close your shop in Your shop. Either way, buyers keep what they bought, and you're still paid what you're owed once its hold has passed.
