What a run costs, and where you see the price

Every run's price is on its button before you press it, worked out from the model and the settings you pick. You're never charged more than that; if the price has gone up since the page loaded, you're asked to press again. Afterwards the price is on the result and on your statement.

You pay in credits each time you run something; opening studios, templates and boards is free. The price depends on what you're making, the model and the settings, and it's always shown before you press.

Where the price shows

  • Beside Generate, or on the button that runs it. In a studio's bar, hover over the figure, or move to it with the Tab key, to see how it's worked out: the pictures or seconds, the rate, the model and the settings.
  • In the model menu. Each model shows what a run on it costs, or "from" its lowest price where its settings change it.
  • On the settings. Resolution and Length show what each choice costs, and say when two choices cost the same.
  • On a board. Every card's Run button shows its price. Run all lists every card it will run, each with its price, and the total before anything is charged. A price marked ≈ is an estimate for a card that depends on one not made yet, shown with the most it can come to.
  • On an Assistant card, its Run button says "up to" the most a run can cost. You pay what it used, and the rest comes back.

What sets the price

What you makeWhat the price follows
A pictureThe model and the resolution, and on a few models how many pictures you give it. From 1 credit.
A clipThe model, the length and the resolution, and on some models sound or the seconds of reference video you send. From 2 credits; five seconds of Seedance 2.0 at 720p is 85 credits.
A talking presenterEach second of the voiceover it speaks, from 5 credits a second.
A voiceoverThe script's length, in every started 100 characters: 1,000 characters are 8 credits on v4 and 4 credits on v4 Turbo.
A songOne price on every model and at every length: 6 credits.
Edit & EnhanceThe job. Removing a background is 1 credit; relighting, restyling, erasing or expanding a picture is 2 credits; an upscale's price is on its button.
A text replyThe model, and how much it reads and writes. A typical reply is from 1 credit.

Models lists every model with its starting price, and Pricing shows what each plan's credits make.

Never more than the price you saw

  • The price you pressed at is the most you can be charged. If it's lower by the time the run starts, you pay the lower one.
  • If the price has gone up since the page loaded, nothing is charged. You're shown the new price and asked to press again, and that second press confirms it.
  • A page left open since before a price change may ask you to reload it to see the new price.
  • If your balance is short, pressing opens a window to add credits or choose a plan. Nothing is charged.

Each press is a run of its own: pressing twice runs twice, and charges twice.

After the run

  • A finished picture, clip or card says what it was charged. A failed one says how many credits came back: see My video failed. Did I lose my credits?
  • Your Usage statement lists every charge with what it paid for, such as the model and settings, every refund, and your balance after each line.
