The affiliate program

The affiliate program pays a cash commission to people who recommend Vessero to an audience, such as creators, agencies and educators. It's separate from customer referrals, which pay credits: see Credits from a referral or a credit link.

Apply

1. Go to Affiliate. It's also under Affiliate program in Settings.
2. Fill in your name, where you'll share your link, your audience size, your country, and whether you're an individual or a business, with a VAT ID if your business has one.
3. Choose how you'd like to be paid, PayPal or Wise, and give that account's email address.
4. Pick a link name, or leave it to us.
5. Accept the Affiliate Program Terms and press Apply.

A person reads every application, and we email you once it's decided. Your link goes live the moment you're approved. You need to be at least 18, and there's one affiliate account per person or company.

Your link

Your link is vessero.com/?via= followed by your link name: 3 to 32 letters, digits, dashes or underscores, starting with a letter or digit.

A customer is yours when they arrive through your link, then create a new Vessero account and pay for a subscription. Your link name is kept in their browser, and counts if they sign up there within 90 days. A customer is referred by one affiliate at most: if they followed another affiliate's link first, that one counts.

These earn nothing:

• An account that existed before its owner followed your link.
• A visit our tracking didn't record, for example because the browser blocked it.
• A visitor whose browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. We honour those signals, so the visit is never tracked.
• Your own accounts, and accounts you control or pay for.
• Customers who arrive from coupon, deal or cashback sites.

If you think a referral was missed, tell us within 30 days of the customer's first payment.

What you earn

You earn your rate on each payment a referred customer makes for a Starter, Plus, Pro or Ultra subscription, within 12 months of their first subscription payment. On a yearly plan, it's your rate of the yearly payment. It's worked out on what they paid, in US dollars, after discounts and without VAT or sales tax. Credits bought once, Business plans, and payments after the 12 months earn nothing.

Your rate rises with your cleared referred revenue:

Cleared referred revenue is the total of your customers' qualifying payments, without tax and refunds, once their hold has ended. It's worked out again every day, and a tier is never lowered. A commission is earned at your rate on the day its payment arrives, so moving up a tier raises the rate on later payments, not ones already earned. An established creator can agree a rate with us.

When you're paid

1. Held. Each commission is held for 45 days from its payment, so refunds and chargebacks can settle. A payment refunded in full or disputed in that time earns nothing, and one refunded in part earns on what was kept.
2. Cleared. After the hold, it's payable. A refund after the hold doesn't take it back.
3. Paid. We pay monthly, by PayPal or Wise, to the address in your dashboard, once you're owed at least $50. A smaller balance carries over to the next month. Each payout comes with a statement of the commissions in it.

Fees your PayPal or Wise account charges to receive a payment are yours, and so are the taxes on what you earn. We may ask for tax details or an invoice before paying.

Your dashboard

Affiliate shows your tier and rate; your balance, with what's held, in a payout and paid to date; your link with Copy link; clicks over the last 30 days, sign-ups and paying customers; every commission, with customers numbered rather than named, which you can filter by where each stands; the customers you sent, each with their payments, what they earned you and until when they earn; your payouts; and your payout details, which you can change there.

The rules

• No search ads on Vessero's name or its misspellings.
• No coupon, deal or cashback sites.
• Say you're an affiliate wherever you share your link, clearly and before the link.
• Describe Vessero as it is today, and make no promises about results.
• No spam, and no ads that pretend to be us.

Leaving

Press Leave the program on your dashboard. Your link stops earning that day, and what you've already earned is still paid once it clears. You can apply again later.
