Both are done from Settings. Cancelling stops your plan at the end of the period you've paid for and keeps your account. Deleting closes the account for good after a grace period, and until then you can have it back.
Cancel your plan
- Go to Plan and billing.
- Under Manage, press Cards, invoices and cancelling. Stripe's billing page opens.
- Cancel your plan there.
Your plan keeps running to the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. Until then nothing changes: your plan credits still work, and Plan and billing shows the date the plan ends. If you change your mind before that date, you can renew it from the same Stripe page.
When the plan ends:
- its credits end with it, including any carried over;
- credits you bought stay and keep working without a plan, for 60 days from the day it ends (credits bought before 20 October 2026 last at least until 20 April 2027);
- everything you made stays where it is.
To move to a different plan instead, press Move up on a bigger plan in Plan and billing, which starts it today, or Switch to on a smaller one, which starts at your next renewal. A plan our team set up for you is changed by asking us, and a Business plan by talking to us.
Delete your account
Keep what you want first:
- Go to Your data and press Request my data. It's put together in the background, usually within a minute, as one file with your account, credits, generations, boards, conversations, skills and tickets. The download link works for 7 days, and you can ask for one export a day.
- That file is a record of your account rather than the media itself, so download any pictures, clips or tracks you want to keep from your Library.
Then:
- Go to Delete account and press Delete my account.
- Choose why you're leaving, type DELETE, and press Schedule deletion.
What happens next:
- Your account locks straight away. Nothing new can be started, and runs already going finish.
- Your plan stops renewing at once, so you aren't charged again.
- After a grace period, the account is erased: every generation, render, board, conversation and skill, and the files behind them. The Delete account page says how many days that is, and the dialog shows the date. Credits aren't refunded.
Changed your mind?
Sign in before the deletion date and press Restore my account. Everything comes back as it was, and a plan the deletion stopped renews again if its period hasn't ended.
If you sign up again with the same email address soon after an account is erased, the new account doesn't get starter credits.
If the Delete account page says deleting your own account is turned off, open a ticket and we'll do it for you.
